MEET MELISSA
Hi, I'm Melissa! I'm a wife, mom of two, lifelong photography lover, avid reader, rock music fan—and Diet Pepsi is pretty much my drink of choice. My family and I live on three acres in the country, surrounded by more animals than I ever planned on having-so life around here is rarely quiet. My love of photography started when my aunt gave me my first camera for my eighth birthday. I've had a camera in my hands ever since, and somehow that little birthday gift eventually grew into Honey + Ginger Photography.
WHY HONEY + GINGER?
My name, Melissa, comes from the Greek word for “honeybee,” and my mom has called me Honeybee for as long as I can remember.
And the Ginger? That's my redheaded husband.
Put the two together and Honey + Ginger was born—a name that's personal, a little unexpected, and completely us.
